Refund Policy

How refunds work for Boilerlykit digital templates: 10-day window, Polar's role as Merchant of Record, and how to request a refund.

1. Summary

Purchases made through this site are processed by Polar Software, Inc., the Merchant of Record. All refunds are issued by Polar under its Checkout Buyer Terms. You may request a refund within ten (10) days of the transaction date for a one-off purchase. Requests are reviewed case-by-case and, where the template has been downloaded or cloned, are subject to the digital-content limitation described in section 3 below.

This Refund Policy supplements, and does not override, Polar's Checkout Buyer Terms or any non-waivable statutory consumer right that applies to you.

2. Refund Window

One-off purchases. Polar may grant a full or partial refund within 10 days of the transaction date, at its discretion and on a case-by-case basis, per Polar's Master Services Terms §10.

Dispute / chargeback window. Polar may additionally issue refunds up to 60 days after purchase in order to resolve disputes or chargebacks.

Statutory rights. Buyers resident in the European Union, European Economic Area or the United Kingdom retain all rights under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer right that applies to you in your country of habitual residence.

3. Digital Content & Immediate Access

Boilerlykit templates are digital content delivered immediately after successful payment (typically as private GitHub repository access granted automatically by Polar after checkout). In line with Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, if you begin downloading, cloning, streaming, using, or otherwise benefiting from a template and you agreed at checkout to immediate access before the end of any statutory withdrawal period, the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies to the licence granted by us.

Polar may still exercise its discretion to grant a refund outside the statutory window under its own terms. In practice this means refunds are most likely to be granted for purchases where the template has not been cloned or accessed, or where there is a genuine payment-related issue.

4. How to Request a Refund

You can request a refund in either of two ways:

  • Contact Polar directly at support@polar.sh or reply to your Polar order receipt email. Include your Polar order ID and the reason for the request.
  • Email us at support@boilerlykit.com with your Polar order ID, the template name, the purchase date, and a brief reason. We will forward the request to Polar and advocate on your behalf where appropriate.

Your order ID is included in the receipt email sent by Polar at the time of purchase. Sellers cannot issue refunds directly; all refunds are routed through Polar.

5. Polar's Role as Merchant of Record

Polar Software, Inc. (3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, United States) is the Merchant of Record for all purchases made through this site. Polar processes payments, remits applicable taxes in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and applicable US states, handles billing-related disputes, and processes approved refunds to the original payment method. Polar's Checkout Buyer Terms are available at https://polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Once a refund is approved, Polar processes it to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.

6. Response Time

Requests made directly to Polar are handled under Polar's published service levels. Requests sent to us by email are acknowledged within 2 business days and a decision is communicated within 7 business days. Complex cases (suspected fraud, licence-scope questions) may take longer; we will keep you informed.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

Before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us or Polar. Most issues are resolved faster through a refund request than through a chargeback.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Polar's Checkout Buyer Terms may also be updated independently at https://polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

9. Contact
